USA CRITS series comes to Pennsylvania for the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium

The 4th annual Iron Hill Twilight Criterium, Saturday in West Chester, Pennsylvania, is up next in the USA CRITS Series.

Teams including TOSHIBA-Santo presented by Herbalife, Richmond Pro Cycling, Colavita Sutter Home presented by Cooking Light, Team Inferno Racing, Time Pro Cycling, Locos Grill & Pub, and Kelly Benefit Strategies will send their riders to the starting line in the men’s match-up.

Cuba’s Yosvany Falcon (TOSHIBA-Santo) and Australia’s Jeff Hopkins (Team Inferno) are in a race to overtake Rock Racing’s Rahsaan Bahati, who is now the overall series leader. Last year’s overall series winner, Frank Travieso (TOSHIBA-Santo), another Cuban, is in fourth place, and he says his job this year is to help teammate Falcon clinch the series.

“I will help him to win, because he did the same for me last year,” says Travieso. “I crashed in the Athens Twilight and broke my hand, so it’s really hard for me to sprint right now.”

In the women’s field, Cheerwine Cycling, Vanderkitten Racing, Aaron’s Professional Women’s Cycling Team, Metro Volkswagen Cycling Team, Colavita Sutter Home and Advil/Chapstick are expected to fight for dominance. Kelly Benjamin (Cheerwine) is currently the overall leader in the series, followed by Jennifer Wilson (Vanderkitten), Allyson Brandt (Cheerwine), Taitt Sato (Value Act), Tina Pic (Colavita) and Jennifer McRae (Advil Chapstick).
